Changes in B T C Industribatterier AB
As some of you may already know, I´m retiring 1st of September 2020. After more than 31 years in the company and the last 14 years as MD I leave the company with mixed feelings of sorrow, satisfaction and pride. Sorrow that time is running so fast, satisfaction and pride for the company B T C built up. I have wonderful memories here over the years and I have had the privilege to work with really amazing people. We shared successes and survived crises together. I have been proud to become a part of the team and it is my hope that this will be prolonged for many years to come. Timo Kanerva who now will become MD will be an excellent choice, he knows the company, business, suppliers and customers, will really become “Business as usual”.
I want to express my sincere gratitude for the excellent support that you and your colleagues have offered B T C over the years and for the friendship we have shared. Your company has been an important part of our brands and company development.
I wish you all well in your business and personal life and maybe we meet again someday.
Timo Kanerva appointed Managing Director for B T C Industribatterier AB.
Timo Kanerva, MSc engineer, 55 years, has a long experience in battery and DC power systems industry. Timo has been working in international positions and managing own company in the past. Timo has been working in Celltech Finland since 2006 as Sales Manager in system department and part of Management team. Timo has been member in B T C board since 2015. Timo will also continue as Sales Manager in Celltech Finland.
“B T C has been well organized and known of high-quality products and good service. It is pleasure to continue work that has been done by Carl-Johan and his team. It is also exciting to see what new opportunities we have in rapidly changing world, with new battery technologies and a huge expansion of IoT solutions. Working in Addtech and in Sweden will give a good opportunity to develop Nordic co-operation together with other Addtech battery companies” says Timo Kanerva.
I like to give my personal thanks to Carl-Johan. It has always been a pleasure to work with him and his team in B T C. Now it is the time to turn page and look ahead as Carl-Johan retires. I believe that we have found a good solution on how to continue the development of B T C and I believe that Timo Kanerva is the best possible choice at this point. I wish Carl-Johan a rewarding retirement and to Timo success in his new role.
